Proper grooming is essential to your pet’s health and well-being. Although grooming sounds relatively simple, it can be stressful for our furry family members and for us as pet parents. At many grooming facilities, you drop your pet off in the morning and pick them up in the late afternoon or early evening. Your dog (or cat) could be there for as long as six hours, spending most of that time in a kennel in a strange place with unfamiliar sounds and smells. It’s just the way it’s always been done. We knew we could do it better!
Twin Tails grew out of a mobile grooming service that Bill and Jamie began here in Arizona. Jamie would travel all around the Valley, even as far as Queen Creek and Lake Pleasant Marina where she had customers and their pets waiting each month to see her. Our mobile business grew into a thriving company and after a a few years, we moved out of the buses and trailers and shifted the mobile dog grooming business to a brick-and-mortar store. Our first location was in Tempe, AZ. We made the cageless grooming experience and the one-on-one attention, a recognizable name and a way to groom pets safely in about 90 minutes.
At Twin Tails Cageless Grooming, your pet spends their entire appointment with their pet stylist. Your stylist is working on just your pet and will never put him or her in a cage for drying or waiting. Twin Tails doesn’t even have cages. Your pet will never be put in a cage for waiting or drying which is only one of the reasons our customers and their pets love Twin Tails! Pets are never roaming around, which is another part of our attention to detail and making sure your pets are kept safe while in our care. They’re never nose to nose, never commingling with other pets. Each pet is always in the hands of a Team Member or placed safely at a Parking Station.
You and your pets are like family to us. We will focus on all of your needs and requests each and every time. And if you have more than one pet - even more than two or three - Twin Tails has you covered. Our shops have enough well-trained groomers and plenty of space to take care of all your pets at the same time. Your time is valuable and we strive to make your grooming experience easy! Our system reduces the amount of time you have to wait for your pets appointment to be completed and you will always know when your pet is finished so they can get back home with you asap. Many of our customers grab a bite to eat, go shopping, or workout during their pets appointment and complete a daily task while their pet is being groomed.
We were determined to make Twin Tails a great experience not only for our clients (both the two-legged and the four-legged) but also for our employees. At the end of the day, we want the dogs to be happy. We want the pet parents to be happy. And we want our employees to be happy! We offer our staff health insurance. And we also have full-time receptionists who handle check-ins, scheduling, and phone calls and managers who oversee each salon. This frees up our pet stylists to focus on the pets in their care and ensure the highest level of safety. We don't want our stylists to be interrupted by other aspects of day-to-day operations.
We are passionate about pets and we LOVE what we do! Because Arizona does not require any kind of state-issued certification for groomers, and we want our pet stylists to be fully educated in pet care, we founded our own school - AZ Pet Grooming Academy to establish a complete holistic teaching approach to pet grooming. We want to see others excel in the pet industry and we're here to provide the guidance and support our Teams need to be successful and reach their personal and professional goals. Our mission includes work/life balance, and a strong supportive Team with great mentors and leaders.
We are also very passionate about continuing education and making sure our pet stylists learn new skills to become advanced stylists in this industry. Our goal is to give back to our Team and our community in a positive way. At the end of the day, we want the pets to be happy. We want the pet parents to be happy. And we want our employees to be happy. That makes us feel like we’ve accomplished something in our world while we are here. If we can look back and say that we provided successful careers and thousands of pets with extraordinary safe grooming, then we’ve reached our ultimate goal of helping others and our community.
